The Senior Girls are
seen here modelling the new school skirt which
has been introduced into the school uniform this
year. This has proved to be a very popular
change and one which is being spearheaded by the
Student Council in the school.
Following talks with
the Student Council, the girls got the
opportunity to decide on the pattern and the
style of the skirt with 5th Year
student Aoibheann McAteer doing the Art work
involved.
Deputy Chairperson
of the Student Council, Zoe Brady commented on
the fact that the skirts are very popular with
the girls. “Ten Senior girls volunteered to wear
the skirt in the introductory phase. Many of the
Junior girls are now wearing the skirt and while
not obligatory, we are delighted to have a
choice. Demand has increased and the skirts will
be available in Declan Loughman Sports”.
