Here at Our Lady's we are very passionate about our
faith and we take our religions seriously. Religion is an important part of
school life and it helps us to get through times of hardship and suffering. For
students going through a crisis, they may require help from an organisation like
Rainbows, peer support, guidance counsellor or the school chaplain.

Our school chaplain is called Ms Hannify. Ms
Hannify is also a religion teacher and she plays a big role in the organisation
of religious activities in the school during the year, for example, the first
year retreat. This is an enjoyable day where first years are put into different
groups and they take part in a range of activities including music, drama, art,
clay, activities and prayer. They also get a chance to perform in front of their
peers if they wish. This is definitely one of the highlights of the first year
of secondary school.
Many religious events take place at our school
during the year, the Beginning of the Year mass in September, the first year
mass, the sixth year mass before the exams, the Easter Reflection, the Christmas
Reflection and of course the religious teachers bring their classes to the prayer
room every now and again for meditation, relaxation and prayer.
