Our Lady's
Students visit Lourdes August 2011
The 6th - 11th July 2011 will be
a week that fifteen 5th and 6th year students
won't ever forget!. The students formed
part of the Youth Group "Clogher Don Oige" and
volunteered their services to help assisted
pilgrims led for the first time by Bishop Liam
McDaid. The students found the experience
rewarding, challenging, uplifting and
spiritually enlightening. Many friendships were
formed with other young people from Monaghan and
Fermanagh and close bonds were created with the
assisted pilgrims they were looking after.
Despite the early starts they really enjoyed the
experience and hope to do it all again next
year.

Religion is a
strong belief in a supernatural power or powers
that control human destiny; "he lost his faith
but not his morality" an institution to express
belief in a divine power; "he was raised in the
Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith
contradicted him.
Religion—sometimes used
interchangeably with faith or belief system—is
commonly defined as belief concerning the
supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the moral
codes, practices and institutions associated
with such belief.
In its broadest sense some
have defined it as the sum total of answers
given to explain humankind's relationship with
the universe. In the course of the development
of religion, it has taken a huge number of forms
in various cultures and individuals.
The Serenity Prayer
God, please grant us
the serenity to accept the things we cannot
change, the courage to change the things we can
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Amen
