Irish is a Celtic language spoken in a number of small communities, mostly in the west of Ireland, and by larger numbers of people scattered across the country. It has been the spoken language of Ireland for over two thousand years.

Irish language is part of our Irish heritage. Its very important to know this language as our national language.

It is a compulsory subject in all schools. The majority of students find Irish easier once you have practise speaking it. To facilitate this the school organises Gaeltacht Scholarships.
